About

The scope of the project is to enhance the expertise of scientific representatives from the Republic of Moldova and Romania in financial and fiscal integration, by facilitating the exchange of good practices and scientific knowledge transfer in the field , the specific objectives of the project were structured in specific research objectives and specific training objectives.

The novelty of the project proposal derives, firstly, from the lack of studies that investigate the relationship between financial integration and fiscal mechanisms, calling for additional research to enhance the understanding of this nexus. Moreover, a study that approach the way to support the financial integration of the Republic of Moldova and Romania has never been developed. This approach will lead to the increase of knowledge in the field of financial integration, both nationally and internationally. Secondly, it will be for the first time when a Romanian research institution recognized by renowned experts, will strengthen the professional expertise of the Moldovan researchers through trainings and courses in the field of financial integration. These activities will lead to important exchange of best practices and knowledge transfer in the field of the project. Thirdly, it will be for the first time when a joint research team from the Republic of Moldova and Romania works together on developing a toolkit that could serve as a support for the scientific community and relevant decision-making authorities, i.e., (i) an open access data base on fiscal policy decisions, (ii) a survey meant to reveal important issues on financial integration, and (iii) a roadmap regarding the financial and fiscal integration of the Republic of Moldova with the EU.
